Honesty, Lies and Trust
Where do we draw the line on honesty. How much is too honest, We all tell lies in our lives. And there are different category of lies.There is the little white lies which is usually when you don’t want to hurt somebody. These are impersonal lies. Like if some body ask you “do I look ugly” or things that has to do with hurting their inner feelings. Then you have the denial lies, which is usually trying to get them selves out of trouble or some thing, You have also the deceiving lies, which is used for personal gain like for money, power, respect ect.. And then you have the fabrication lies. These lies are like story made up just to past the time. They have nothing to gain or get out of trouble. This is also known as the B.S.. And last we have defensive lies wich is in 2 parts. These lies are about you protecting others or your self.. Now as far as other, that would be the lie that you would tell someone because they couldn’t or wouldn’t accept the truth. And the lie to defend your self, This would be where most people lie and that is the fronts that people put up for emotional protection, These are characters that they portray to protect their emotion or what people think about them and also serve as a safety net to recover from being hurt So we all lie or have lied for different reason. Who do we trust is another question. So I wrote this quote “We all lie everyday day but to what extents and to who? We lie to others as well as our selves, Who do we trust and who puts trust in us? How fast do we forget or just refuse to remember”, I have come up with some questions. Where do we draw the line on what too honest? What lies are acceptable? Who do we trust with our possession or emotion and which is more valuable of the 2? Please write your comments for all these questions.
