Who do you believe ??

Vladimir Putin is strongly criticizing the U.N. resolution allowing international use of force in Libya, saying it reminds him of the Crusades. David Cameron says Libya intervention will not turn into another Iraq War.

Russia was always criticized by UN for any conflict in its territory either military or civilian(e.g Hodorkovskii)...and when it comes obvious that UN (particularly France) is pursuing its interests in Libya...then why not to express his attitude?

It is strange I hear

about the us when they did not jump up and do something right away and I hear

when they do... it goes to show you cannot make all happy

I think Vladimir Putin is a man with his own agenda in life. And it will sooner or later be seen

War has been around since the beginning of time. I personally hope it does not but we will see

I agree that Putin has his own agenda and -- we will see it sooner or later -- and it won't be nice.

The US will not put in ground forces in Libya -- the populace would not tolerate it one little bit. Having Marines on ships off shore is pretty much standard procedure, so don't believe one can make any safe assumptions based just on that information.

Jana, OK thanks for the "V" word clarification. I have to admit that some part of me slightly admires Putin, I mean whatever his faults he is portrayed in our country as a strong leader type who goes bear hunting with no shirt on. You may not think much of him, however you dont have to suffer the clueless, witless, macho-less excuses for leaders that we have.

happy slapper: Western people, or more corectly said, media like to see Russia in an exotic light. "A bear with human face". I assure you it's face is not human. It's very easy and comfortable to see things that way.
I won't go into details about our history and I wont give more arguments, because it's not the place for that.

wish u the same feeling.
and it seems to me that a woman in ur age, with such a great appearance shud be more exacting in her expessions....and especially in stickin on labels.
