Age?

When considering age, or rather age differences on average when considering dating someone older or younger where do u draw the line 10 years 15 years? I get that age is just a number but there has to be a line, right?

"it will be ok less than 20 years." some scientists do some researchs and make this conclusion. laugh

it will be ok if the line of age is not more than 20 years.

I do not have a particular age in mind, but I would not care to go lower than 15 years because I do not want a kid or over 15 years because I am not ready for retirement. grin

.. someone's age reflects their level of maturity and experience .. I would draw the line at 5 years above or below. Dats it. wave

Watch out, you could miss true love because you're busy drawing lines wink. My partner is 28 years older than I am and this brings qualities into the relationship that I've never before experienced with men of my age. There's so much to teach each other and broaden each others horizon and he has a really good CD collection!

Age is just a number. Size doesn't matter.

I don't agree! Age isn't just a number otherwise all those ages we have lived are in vain!
And sure, size matters!

Age matters for many reasons. It matters like every other factor: looks, beliefs, job, money etc, etc.
I can understand the romantic point of view that love conquers all, but in real life that's rare.

Although it upsets me to agree with anyone, I am forced to side with Jana. "Age is only a number" tends to be a phrase used only by those above a certain age?

Actually happy,

The very first time that I heard the phrase "age is just a number" was when a 20 year old guy said this to me when I had just turned 40 and he told me that he had no problem what so ever going out with someone my age....of course I declined because I was the one who was uncomfortable with the age difference.

I read the more than a 10 year age difference is not recommended. I see here that someone has made a huge age difference work. I also read that actress Kate Walsh married a man 17 years younger than her and get this they are still together! She is 77 and he is 60. Hard to believe when the man is so much younger but I guess though rare in some occasion it can work!
