Interracial dating...

I don't know that it is acceptable or not. Frowned upon or not. I haven't dated that much, but been blessed to date different races and nationalities. The way I see it, it is up to each. If others don't like it then too bad. The world needs to get over it and move forward. Date who you like and when you fall in love, who cares what the world thinks.

Forever is right, real love knows no color, limits or boundaries therefore just surround yourself with people who are wise enough to know this.

People should date whom ever they please, period!

Some fellas see it as an attack on the so-called large egos!!

They think "how can this woman be happy with a man who is inferiour to myself in the bed room"..

I totally agree Tasa......@ Seatraveler it is acceptable in a lot of places/countries, I know a lot of interracial couples (black men with white women) that don't encounter a lot of criticism or prejudices (if any). I think the problem comes back to the black community as the black men are trying assiduously to protect their egos and enjoy the best of both worlds.....sigh:

Awwww.....thanks Jana28, that's wot I'm talking about! Go with your personal preference and respect other people's choices. Personally I've decided to take a walk on the other side because I've had many bad experiences and I'm just going to do it a little differently (I don't have high expectations- that way I won't easily be disappointed). I'm a free spirited person and I refuse to be a prisoner of my own mind. @ Adamisk......I'm with u on that!

I understand how you feel. I have had several long term relationships with black women and find them wonderful, warm, loving and loyal. Currently seeking another. One can only laugh and ignore the disaproving looks we get from others. Just remember the problem is theirs and hate eats them up while we go on enjoying the best life has to offer. Give the nay sayers a big talk to the hand and get on with life, liberty and happiness. I am raising a 7 yr old son from a bi-racial relationship and he is the greatest blessing of my life. May you find what you deserve and be blessed wit a long happy loving future.

I live in an Army Base town and never c any of them treated differently....Probably see more black men with white women than I do black women with white men though....

Your comment about it being "frowned upon when Black women date White men and it's more acceptable for Black men to date White women" is purely dependent on the perspective of the individual. Some people don’t care whether a Black man dates a White woman or a Black woman dates a White man.

@ Lipsee....Ur entitled to ur opinion. It precludes my male counter parts, there's a popular saying which goes "he/she who feels it knows it".
I've never dated outside of my race so I'm thinking why not now? I love my black men don't get it twisted but let's put it this way, they've had their turn (made a huge mess) so let me give someone else a chance and see how it goes. U don't have to embrace my opinion but at least respect it.

The problem does not lies in dating outside your race, it is the motive behind your choice. Are you dating iter-racially because you are fed up with black men, or are you because all men are created equal.
