I certainly don't want to insult their generous offer.
That just wouldn't be right.
But, you can sort of understand my predicament, right ?
Afterall, it's kind of far for me to travel and fairly short notice too.
Plus, it's somewhat too staid an affair for my tastes.
Honestly, the music will likely be boring.
The food might be good though.
I might meet a lovely princess.
We might dance all night
, well at least until midnight, when she probably turns into a cat 
or something worse
I'm curious, what did you do, with YOUR inviation to the royal wedding ?

Personally, I prefer to associate with the fun, can do, positive people rather than the grumpy grumps, woe is me, or angry types.
Everyone has stages, but when there's a consistent attitude like that, it really attempts to drag you down to their level.
