Why all the fight over religion?? No US against TH

I have read the Bible, Old Testament, The Quran, the Gita, Karbala, Buddha (which is not a religion but a philosophy of life), etc. If it is in a book form, I have read it. I have read histories of religions, the Crusades, etc. I have the following conclusions:

1. There is one God.

2. As an example, God lives on a Mountain but there are many many ways to reach to the top of this mountain. There is no single way. No religion is the only religion. Christians can reach him from one road, Muslims from another, Jews from a third way, etc.

3. He is a God for all mankind, not just for the Christians or any one religion. He is a loving God who looks for reasons to bless his children and not for reasons to punish them.

4. All mankind is a creation of God. He will not put one group of religion in heaven and the rest in hell. When a Christian says that they will only go to heaven, they are wrong. When a Muslim (Islam) says that are the only true religion, they are wrong. All men and women are equal to God, the difference will come from how they lived their lives, not from the religion they choose.

5. All religion is man-made. Every man made religion is biased to the group that created the religion (except Islam, as Islam does not have an organized group - details later). Catholic is biased towards the Church. The system is to differentiate Catholics from other people, to donate funds to the church, the saints, and to support the Vatican. Islam does not have a leader like the Pope, or an organization like the Church and cardinals and priests. In Islam, each Mosque (similar to a church) is independent and there is no person who can speak for it. It is more individualistic. Donations made to a Mosque do not go anywhere other than that particular Mosque and the people that Mosque chooses to help. But, it is only one of many paths to god.

6. All great wars have been fought over these man made religions. They make the attitude of humans to be US against THEM. There are no us and there are no them. We are all God's creatures, live and let live.

7. All religions are 95% similar, yet people focus on the 5% difference to fight and argue. All the basic laws in all the religions are the same. No killing, no theft, respect, no adultery, no lying, and no injustice. Yet, we find reasons to fight and argue about the different religions. More people have been killed in the name of God and religion then for anything else.

8. Finally, churches are filled with Gold while the people praying and donating are hungry and poor. How can there be a single ounce of gold in a church if even one person is hungry? The church should sell the gold and feed the hungry man. It won't happen, but it should.
The conclusion? Our religion is unimportant, our thoughts, deeds and actions are what is important. Do what your heart tells you is right. Your heart does not need to be told that killing is wrong, stealing is wrong, lying is wrong. God does not write a book so that only a few can read it. He loves us all. He has put the book, the rules, in every individual’s heart. Look inside yourself as there is no need to look outside. What is right and wrong is no mystery, we all know it. We choose to ignore it, but we all know it.

hey mate , this would be better for the forums , wave
With all due respect to your study of religion..all your conclusions are inconsistant. What you argue against is not based on a real knowledge of God, but what you feel about the subject. You have no way of demonstrating that God is doing or thinking anything you state unless you have some sort of written revelation by him. Human logic cannot tell you what God is doing..He must do it, and if He is doing something He is not writing 20 different versions of himself through religious leaders. Either you had a dream..a vision..which you must prove, or you must accept the fact that your opinion about God is based on one of the above religious documents. The real question for you..Does God write a book? If not we're back to where we started..human logic. Thank you..
you are right. It is my conclusion on what I believe. None of the books are anything other than the belief of the writer.
You apparently have faith that there is one God. How did this knowledge come to you?
Samcollibs. U come across as a humble beautiful person.
Love you for that!

Still i disagree with u and probably line up with Cafe.
However, im terribly tired of the focus on the fight and too little on respect for the fellow human being in this little floating round ball we call earth. Lets not forget we can not reach outside this planet, we need to love each other and respect each others freedom.

I agree with u that there is one God and he love all peaople.
The grand question however is always what does he really want us to do and not.

cheers mate!
What I was trying to say is that this gentleman believes in the message about God but cannot determine which of the messengers is correct. The light of nature or raw human reasoning can compell us to believe that if there is a God (which I believe), then his attributes must be quite extrodinary. But we cannot believe anything beyond the reach of our souls unless this supernatural being reveals his will to us in a specific way. The different religions of the world do in fact teach striking differences about God, which would make God seem to contradict himself. Has God in fact told the world to take up the sword and kill people to gain followers for him, or is that a human interpretation of his will? All faiths have done 'this killing' and is the God of love so weak that he would require this of us? I think not. If God has revealed his will through the bible then because he is God then we are bound to find that truth. How could he claim to hold anybody accountable if no one had a clear picture of his will and purpose? The age long battle are the beliefs that claim to contain God's will. But isn't it fair to examine the evidence to see if the claims are valid. People fall into belief systems without giving much thought as to their source. I'ts a sad reality but it is the truth. A thousand ways to God? You hear that everyday. Is there saftey in numbers? Whole nations have fallen because they believed in things which lead to their destruction.
I agree that there's only one God and that religion is man-made.We tend to focus too much on what other religion teaches instead of evaluating our own belief system.

We should be more critical of our own shortcomings instead of seeking to highlight the flaws in other religion. Until Christians demonstrate the kind of love that is taught in the bible our "religion" doesn't achieve its objective.....that makes "US" no different from "THEM".

We're all in the same boat; without God's navigation, we are hopelessly lost.help
Whatever one`s religion is, unfortunately for many of us who have been brainwashed we have to realise that there is no supreme being, there is no god, there is no proof, only blind faith which has deluded countless millions and caused unmentionable suffering to so many people down the ages. Why don`t people wise up and realise that all religions are a means of controlling people and a gigantic con trick which so many subscribe to. Why ?
