Happiness
Hey guys, me and my thoughts againHappiness...........everyone tries to reach it all it's life.
Is it important whether you're man or a woman? or Is it individual?
I think that being a woman in this world where we live it's not an easy thing. Women have more duties and obligations, to their family, work and etc. Maybe in this case worth it more.
Unfortunately, there are many countries where women are treated worse than an animal. I've always wondered how these women manage to survive. This is not the subject of my blog, however feel free to share your opinion as well.
Mostly, I want to ask you is it matter gender or there is nothing to do with it?

I've lived in several countries where women were not treated equally to men as far as chores were concerned. Women do a lot of heavy work in the garden whilst the men sit in the so called huts (where men gather in the mornings or evenings) and drink coffee in the morning hours and then home brewed beer in the evenings. Women serve their men like worshipping the grounds they walk on...from making their coffee to setting their food on the table for dinner. I feel really bad for these women but they don't seem to mind doing it, let alone complain and they look totally happy and content with the whole thing. When I asked them whether they are not bothered by it, they told me that it is their 'tradition'
My own take on it is, happiness is relative. The old saying "the more we have the more we want" is very true, there are probable over a billion people in the world living in extreme poverty, yet they find many reasons to smile. A lot of people in western culture, living in affluent societies are not content, consumed by jealously and greed.
I think it comes from the primal instinct to "improve" ie; we can have a goal, that is all we focus on, once that goal is achieved we quickly become bored and move on to the next big thing. With this mentality, long term contentment and by extension happiness is unachievable.
The grass is always greener............
