Happy 4th of July weekend !

In the USA we celebrate our independence from England back in 1776 this weekend.

It's somewhat ironic, that England has since become one of our
best allies.

Regardless, Americans LOVE

our independence and freedoms

Thus, we celebrate it, especially this weekend.

Many do this by partying, getting together with family & friends, going to the beach, and/or watching
fireworks at night.
Some get excessively drunk.

I enjoy taking photographs of the fireworks at night. Like people, no two are exactly alike

again just to add, I don't view myself as much of an artist, more of a scientist.
Indeed, I like to photographically capture life as it is, rather than adding any excessive artificial coloring, filters or photoshopping. For me, the challenge is to keep it pure and have the settings as appropriate & accurate to capture life's colors and scenes.

Same to you !

Well, I'm playing a double header tomorrow morning and going to take some nature photos in a few moments. It's gorgeous today !

I know where there's a mute swan couple that has 2 swanlings. I got some photos the other day.

There's also 2 bald eagles that are about ot fledge and I know where the nest is. Ssssshh.

I'll likely go to my cousin's for a family celebration and also take photos of the fireworks throughout the weekend.

A friend from work his wife lost her leg, from someone drinking lighting off fireworks, he had to pick up her leg and bring her to the hospital to re a attach her leg,

Yes, and good luck as well. The fuse was long, and me and my buddy was thinking the fire had died. But then it took off! I was a bit younger those dayes... ;) If I did that stuff today, I would probebly end up in jail... :)

@Jim Thanks! I had a great Canada Day. I was with family and we went to the parade. It was very multi cultural. Nice to see. Then the Olympic Cauldron was lit and there was some spectacular fireworks! A great day! I am just as proud of my country as you are!

I actually was gonna do a blog but didn't have time and well there aren't a ton of Canadians on this site anyway!

And yes we are both great allies to each other!
