No Picture, No Reply

What's the nicest way to say this without looking like an arsehole? Girls can do it no problem because there's a lot of wierdos out there but if a guy does it he looks shallow. You wouldn't see people walking around a club with bags over their heads would you?

Well if you think that way, then put that info on your profile.

Frankly though, I'm encountered some wonderful people who initially didn't have a photo, and who eventually shared one. If I'd discounted them because of no photo, I would have missed out on some great people to get to know as friends and another as someone very special.

I used to chat away to people with or without a picture. When I'd eventually get one and I didn't find the person attractive (come on I'm only human!) I didn't see the point in wasting their time or mine if I wasn't going to pursue it.

There's also been times where I got a picture and found the girl hot then they stopped replying so I'm not a total bad guy

I dont have one because I want to keep it private, but once I am talking to someone I have not problem in showing it to them, and the way I see it is, if they are that bothered that there is no picture, then maybe they are not right for me!!

It's shallow, no matter who does it. Change your view on this. Get to know somebody through communication first, then exchange photos. It is perfectly reasonable, and you get a much broader idea of who they are if you're not just going by a pic, which can be deceiving, anyhow.

i totally agree with u. no matter how many people drone on that looks dont really matter(guilty of that myself may i add) they really do matter. u have to find something attractive about that person. personalty is really important but u must have chemistry. u having much luck on this, iv just joined.

@dublin_nerd: You have every right in asking for picture!! this site is Connecting Singles not ghosts! .. With all my respect to people who don't have a picture, but whatever relationship you are seeking for serious one or friendship, you should at least be able to see that person at the beginning ..

Even for a guy, stating that no picture, no reply doesn't imply that you are a shallow person whatsoever

As you can see I don't have a picture up but I have no problem sending a picture to anyone I chat to. I'm just not comfortable putting my picture up on the web for everyone to see. I like to keep my business private.

I don't think it is shallow to want to see who you are talking to and physical attraction is very important, that doesn't mean they have to be textbook gorgeous, they just need something that makes the chemistry work for you.
