Means you have a place in his heart but not his life!laugh
It's a cliche. I don't believe cliches anymore.
He means that he doesn't want to be with you but you will always be special to him. He's trying to tell you to move on to someone else, that he is not going to be with you anymore. Sorry if this hurts you. That is not my intention. You should know the truth. He is trying to let you down easily.
Yes I agree with picca... I admit I've said something similar when trying to get rid of someone without hurting him.
I'm not sure what he means but I will always love my ex but I'm not in love with her. I love her like family not a wife.
Steve you are a genius. Maybe when a man marries a woman and she takes his last name, it confuses a man and he starts to look at her as a sibling. This could explain a lot!
Well, if it were me saying it, it would mean the woman was incredibly special to me. I can't speak for other guys. If it were a parting situation, I would be more inclined to say something like, "I will always remember you. I wish you the best, because you deserve the best."
Thank you for your comment..it was not a parting comment..but we did eventually part ..but I still think of him a lot and have feelings for him,
I think there is far too much moving on without giving enough time to come to terms with the loss and grieving for same...I still love him and maybe in time I will move on but just not yet,it was very special to me ...and I think to him,so I will give it the respect it deserves and who knows...a relationship like ours was dont come around very oftencrying
Hugger, if I wished her the best then she would still have ME!!!rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing
Steve - I wish the best for anyone who has entered my life, past, present, and future. That's the kind of guy I am. Holding a grudge does no good - it only destroys a person.

Blanad - It's always important to take sufficient time to grieve over the loss of a relationship, much like you would after a funeral. This grieving varies with the individual and circustance.
