A second nature photo for your inspection

Since my photo of the doe was such a big hit
with EVERYONE devil this week wink
I decided to give you all a view of another photo,
that I posted in the album on my other site on the first.

Afterall, I like rewarding people with more of
what they 'want'. laugh

This photo is of 2 baby groundhogs, siblings.
They are probably only a few months old.
I have quite a few other shots of them
and their mom on my photo site in the same album.
The mother groundhog had 5 little ones total.

Want to name these two ? head banger

Again, you'll have to click on the photo to see it all.

cheers

awwwe.. how cute..how do you manage to find these animals to photograph like this?
Just by observing and having a knowledge of how they live.

I see you cropped your photo. It looks great ! applause
laugh Jim.. actually i guess CS did it for me?
They also lightened up the photo..Not my most flattering photo of me, but at least they can see it is me, clearly..lol
Oh, what coincidence. I thought you did the cropping laugh
In my opinion that photo is MUCH
better than the other ones you had
(or perhaps may still have) posted.
A you say, you can better see you in it. thumbs up
laugh Thanks jim.. I said it because I know I've had better looking clear photos..Just need to get more..I was gonna ask you if you were the one who did the cropping for me as a suprise?
laugh Well whoever did it, my thanks to them.. thumbs up laugh
If you asked me and sent the original to me, I would have cropped it for you.
Since I have no access to anyone's account except
my own, there's no way I could have done this without
your knowledge & permission.
Regardless, CS did a good job. thumbs up
Great photo Jim. It's the first time I've seen Groundhogs.
I'm glad you enjoyed it SK. tip hat

These are only the babies.
The adults can get about 2 1/2 feet long including the 4 inch tail. They hibernate for the winter underground.
They are busy fattening up now. They mostly eat grass, vegetables, berries, acorns and leaves. The adults can weigh up to something like 25 lbs. In the wild they live 2 to 5 years, but in captivity the record is 22 years. They can climb trees to escape predators, but usually they go underground. They are prolific diggers. They are also known as woodchucks. You may have heard the common tongue twister...
"How much wood could a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood."
Although they recently 'starred' in a Geico (insurance)
commercial, and are called woodchucks,
they don't really chuck wood.

laugh
I suppose you mean..If a Woodchuck could chuck wood???doh bouquet
Try tying twine to tree tops X3 FAST !!rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing cheers
These are the kinds of tongue twisters that a prospective disk jockey has to learn.
