Morgenulv - for me, it would have been way before this.
Cytrynka - I agree with you. A woman reporter experimented with this very concept. She got into the dumpiest clothes she could find, and then took her VW Bug on the freeway and stopped, pretending that her VW was disabled. Not one person stopped. Then she changed into much fancier clothes and repeated the experment. Voila! Tons of guys stopped to help. In fact, the guys were almost fighting to be the one to help her. This proves Cytrynka's point - that people judge us for the way we dress, the way we talk, how much money we have, what we look like, the kind of job we have and a whole host of other things. Three times in my life, I have met people that instantly disliked me. You know the look - that look of hatred the instant they see you. I've never understood how someone can dislike another person like that, without even knowing them.
Many people misundertood Buda, also. I would say some more names but I have to get the list
