Tattoos

I don't know how you feel about this topic.
How could I ? You is a collection of yous
with likely varied opinions.

But, I'll tell you how I honestly feel about them.
To me they are ugly skin stains, that disrupt the normal
biological functioning of our largest organ, the skin.
It visually screams that the wearer is an idiot.

Although I rarely say anything when I see them,
inside my thoughts are, "what a moron", especially those who
choose to have their face doodled on.
These used to be reserved for sailors who drank
all their paycheck drinking and were so out of it,
that they woke up with one of these ugly stains
and didn't remember how they got it. dunno

Somewhere along the way, some tattoo inkers
decided to advertise that tattoos are cool
and the public actually bought it.
Now pre-teens all run to the mall to get permanently stained.
doh
I refuse to call these stainers "artists" because mostly
what they do, looks like doodles that a 7 year old would do with
crayons on a wall. Indeed, I've seen better art work
by grade school kids on their notebooks.

Van Gogh, Matisse, Dali, Renoir, and Monet are a few examples of true artists.
People pay, just to see their beautiful works of art and their paintings are worth $Millions.
I assure you, none of them stained skin on purpose. laugh

How about the idiots who get the name of their lover tattooed
on their skin. Years later they're married to someone else
who has to see the other person's name as an every day reminded
of that person's previous love. doh

Don't get me wrong, there are much more important things in life.
I've even dated a few women for years, who have been stained with some rudimentary stain of a rose, or a heart, or their zodiac sign. roll eyes
It's not a deal breaker. It's a bit of a turnoff,
but no one is perfect, I guess.

However, if you want to lose me on our first date,
obsess with endless talk about your skin stain(s). yawn
Either that, or stay on your cell phone during much of the date. conversing
Or smoke. doh

I don't care if you look like Megan Fox, I'm out of there,
as soon as I can find a convenient excuse to end the date early. wave

The only tattoo or mark we should be really worried about is the one that might pop up on our forehead oneday, '666'...haha.

Music had the best read...yay yay yay cheers
I've never gotten any tatoos.. I'm glad I have not done this because I feel they do not add anything to our appearance and they can fade with time and look even worse.

When I was in high school, I thought about getting maybe a small rose tatooed on my ankel, but my dad talked me out of it.

I also dont have any body piercings other than a couple on my ears to wear earrings..

I dont like needles at all... laugh
p.s. Even though I dont have any tatoos, I am fine with dating a man who might have one or two small tatoos..

I just dont feel attracted to a man who is a walking tatoo or has too many ink stains all over him, but a couple small ones is ok on a man.. I do however prefer he doesnt have any, but I wouldnt rule out a guy just for a couple small tats though.
Have there been anybody studying the sosiale-pychological reasons and effects of the tats yet. How the wearer see their own and how the others react to them (and why)? Maybe i should take that study. drinking
Thank you Parti! bouquet

@Placebo Neat! Always thought henna tattoos were cool. I'm going to try it one day!

Tat one and tattoo...The spider symbolism for me was important, it represents creativity or psychic ability. Weaving itself a web that can be expanded or decorated used to entrap, feed and nourish or it can protect and encase.

I have plans to have it darkened again and perhaps extend the legswink

Both my children do not suffer any psychological problems and are not arachnaphobiclaugh

I have never regretted, it is part of who I amwine
OMG people tats are beautiful in the right places, as you can see by TANG's pic. Please prove me wrong! applause cheering

How ''incredibly'' rude of you to call people ''idiots and morons'' because they've had tattoos!! Who are you to judge people in that way?? Who died and made you god of the closed minded?? Oh and BTW, the only person with rude comments so far on this thread is YOU!!

''The best way to lose me'' please, how insular!!
And by the way, there's a LOT of people who think it,
but don't say it. If the stain fits, I guess you
have to wear it. laugh
