Why BEER IS PACKED IN DARK COLOURED BOTTLE...

Why Beer is always packed / bottled in Dark Coloured Bottles through out the World..
is there any Scientific reason for this ??????

They also put red wines in dark bottles.

The Beer is packed in a dark bottle as to aviod degradation due to exposure to sunlight . The beer is essentialy an fremented product by the process of oxidation. sunlight is a good oxidising agent and can further accelerate the process and change the taste of the beer and can ever state it . oxidation can produce Co2 which can burst the bottle too due to pressure built up

"They" don't it's about 50-50. I suggest that you consult The Beer Encyclopedia; it has colour photos of most world know beers and the bottles/ cans they come in. Lots of other books also in beers show their containers.
