My Holiday Spirit

Is filled with what-ifs. I hate thinking that I cannot be happy with what I have but I just feel that my life should be in a different place than it is. There is no harder and more lonely a time than the holidays.

I hope that everyone is not as regretful as I am.

Sure it's a state of mind & for some people it works, they don't feel the loneliness. Which is wonderful if those folks have beaten it. For me it's like a monkey on my back
that I can't shake off. It seems to get heavier when I see others hugging, kissing, holding hands. blues

No need to worry I've had those moments & still do. It will go away. At moments I do cry. But I'm realizing even tho I'm not where I want to be I'm grateful of where I am & what I'm doing & I'm in a better place compared to 10yrs ago. It will get better.

We must appreciate what we have & not focus on what we don't have....some days easier than others. Yes the holidays do trigger some enwanted feelings. Regrets hold us back. While we're busy worrying about the what ifs....life is passing us by.
