why do men go for looks?

What makes you think that we don't desire BOTH looks & personality ?

Dear Trish, In our species ( like most mammals ) it is the female that atracts the male . From a purely physical standpoint this would make sence . Without actually meeting someone how would you project yourself to a prospective partner ? You are an atractive woman and you have just inhanced yourself to prove it . The makeup and the hair style is flattering to you but if you did not have nice features no amount of " preperation " would work. You now have the best of both worlds, beauty and brains . So use it to find that special " one " and then you can show him that sterling personality you posess . Just remember this, most women would kill to have what you have so stop complaining .

trish, Please remember that looks is the first impression that we get of another person and that the personality only comes out when we take time to get to know the other person and that takes time. Yes you will get more hits and comments when your first impression is good, but your long time friends are coming back for you personality and understanding

Good looks catch our eye and that makes us bother to read your profile. You say you did yourself up. This draws men someone who makes an effort to look their best. But it is the personality in the end which will keep us interested. Good looks fade.

i guess all of us is simply see the looks first and then personality will follow

trishcoolwithit, I think not really just for looks well maybe it just come first when we saw the person just for a while, even girls like that.Because based from my observation from all of my friend that guys, they really wanted and admired the inner beauty of a person. So looks its just an added factor.

Well, a male friend ever told me like this "there are many pretty women in the world, so pretty might make me look but once u look and want to know the woman then other things are just as important". I guess it's true.
