well sometimes she would stay gone for days at a time so technically not late every night .
i tried talking first that worked like talking to a brick wall
eventually i told her if your not home by morning don't expect to see me when you do show up .
then i moved out paid a lawyer and wham bam thank you ma'm here i am .
i just assumed that the roles in your question was reversible super sorry if their not .

Calliopesgirl my mother used a baseball bat well she didn't hit him just woke him up and let him know it could happen it worked too . lol
