Mansur. the Sufi. said "I AM TRUTH"

ALLAH in HIS Might
granted Mansur sight
that merged Mansur in Divine Light

Mansur in awe, his identity broke
lost to 'self', to love he awoke

no more 'self' Mansur
was reflecting ALLAH'S Noor

in ecstatic stupor enraptured
Mansur's soul in love was captured

he trasformed in love itself to his core
Mansur ceased,TRUTH in him did pour

"I AM TRUTH" he cried in delight
to those whom ALLAH pleases grants LIGHT

Mansur in love crazed being
became all seeing

"I AM TRUTH" Mansur told the world
"love granted me this mould"

in Love's dement he roamed
longing for his SOURCE he moaned

the world pelted him with stones
he was skinned to his bones

the fire of Love did it increase
no torment could Mansur's passion decrease

"I AM TRUTH" he affirmed
Mansur's madness was thus confirmed

men, without Sight, without Love
how could they perceive this benediction from above?

they branded him a blasphermer
a knave, an infide, a cur

they decided to kill him
in their dark souls ALLAH'S LIGHT was dim

Mansur manifested ALLAH'S LIGHT
but the blind shall always the TRUTH fight

the world in its arrogant piety
hanged Mansur, called themselves mighty!

they knew not of the calamity decending from Heaven's Domain
"ALLAH gives respite for a term appointed" thus HE let them remain

with their free-wills and personal responsiblities
let them invite HIS wrath on them for their capabilities

safe in hypocricy's disguise, in smug holiness
worshipping their lusts, their idols. showing outward cleanliness

they declared in self righteous wrath ALLAH'S commandment
saying "this trasgressor we hanged for he was in dement

the dead Mansur's TRUTH breathed "TRUTH will never die
every lifeless pore of Mansur cried "I AM TRUTH" you the lie!

can darkness snuff out Eternal LIGHT?
in delusion they exaggerated their might

"cut Mansur into pieces they proclaimed
but every piece of Mansur's body claimed
"I AM TRUTH" at this the caliphs were afraid
"burn the remains". on fire Mansur was laid

in receiving TRUTH with pride the fire flared
to the fire, thus, the mystery was bared

"I AM TRUTH" Mansur's ash announced
to understand this, 'self' must be renounced

"I AM TRUTH" the scattered ash cried
at this the Mullahs were terrified

the bigots in distaste, turned away from Mansur's ash
in the HEREAFTER which intercessor will their sin wash?

in counsel, they proclaimed "drown the ash in the ocean's depth
from it, none has ever outside crept

Mansur's "I AM TRUTH" with the water did merge
singled out for this honour the ocean did surge

resounding over and over
echoing thundersouly forever

"I AM TRUTH" did the water recite
every drop in the ocean, in Love's ecstacy cried

Mansur died
Mansur's body died

had Mansur ever been alive?
who can solve this secret sublime?

NOW. HERE. IN THIS MOMENT
ALL CREATEDNESS IN WONDERMENT

IS FOREVER BEING BLESSED
IN MANSUR'S "I AM TRUTH"
ALL CREATION CAME TO REST.


"To those whom ALLAH pleases"
from the shackles of 'self' illusion releases.........
