WE ARE ALL GREEKS

Today, 2 o'clock p.m, in front of all the Greek embassies around Europe there will be people protesting against what is happening with Greece now. About how milions of lives depend on a bunch of people which maybe have never been in this country, have never felt its hearbeats, have never breath its air.
Today, 2 o'clock, we have the chance to say "No! We do not want to be the next ones!" because sooner or later your country WILL BE the next one to obey to this oppresion and humiliation of IMF and "goodwilling" banks.
Let's stop the snowball on the border of your countries. Come today in front of the Greek embassy and say aloud, all together:

WE ARE ALL GREEKS!

Your voice CAN AND WILL make a difference!

thumbs up peace cheers
I'm with you in spirit.yay
We pay off as much as possible our debts and people live on money they really have. You threaten all member countries.

Thanks to Greece the Liberal Government of my country had to give up, because of Greece support. Now we have to face Election and maybe Left Wing Government, which will never support Greece and make us a lot of problems in the future.

Ask your politicians what they do for Greece last 20 years.
I am sorry Greek nation but you have to get mature and face responsibility, sooner you understand that- better for you.

By the way, we all face crisis....but we do not strike, we work hard more hours for less money and pray ...
Good Luck.
good luck
While I have some sympathy for your situation.

You strike, fight and have started burning in your country - but what answers do you have?

I don't have any debt, never have, so I certainly don't understand that if you can't pay your debts why anyone - individual or country - thinks that the answer is borrow more.

Somewhere you have to draw a line and say no more - take the pain and at least get some degree of respect back.

President John F. Kennedy's most famous quote:

"My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you -- ask what can you do for your country."

I'm sorry Affil

but I for one will not be supporting Greece today - the euro zone is in crises we all have to take the hit for our countries greed - live with it - payment is the name of the game, help make Europe & the euro good again.

affiliation - I agree with some of what you say.

But can you just blame "someone"? Many countries are like Greece - at the moment not as bad off. But, we lived through the years off plenty, maxed out credit cards, housing boom etc

So are we not all to blame for not asking questions sooner?

At the moment I am looking ahead to holidays - is Greece a cheap option - No. Why is that?

I don't want to seem a leech feeding off someone elses misfortune. But it is an opportunity to bring revenue into the country.

Hi A,

Yes, I have sympathy for the working class of Greece. I would not want my paycheck to diminish as much as 20% my taxes to sharply increase loose my home not have enough food.

If we are to blame let us blame the politicians to got us into
this terrible mess.

By the way it is happening here in the USA. We have homeless people living in tunnels in Las Vegas, 1/4 of the underwater home mortgages are in Florida, Detroit may be bankrupt by April.

But, there is hope, we must change our ways of self destruction.
Did anyone ever bother to save for the future when we had the money? Do we really need another big mega superstore filled with lots of junk imported from China!!!sad flower
Yes,there is lack of politicians. There are srvants and obequious of the markets. They can not conceive neither formulate a system in benefit of the people.
Bring back Pythagoras he will sort it out for you!!wow conversing

@particolor
You are right and you have a good attitude.
Many people ask what happened to the Greece everyone knows?Pithagora,Platon, etc. It happened some thousands years and some regression of human values. This made of EU to be a shape without essence. There's not a common spiritual background for EU, only echonomic interests. If Germany and Greece play a football match, I would not shout "Go, European Union!", I would shout "Go, Greece!"
That's why, in a situation like Greece has now, we must show our human side,it is the only constructive side EU has. You can chose to lift someone up or to put him/her down.
EU is indeed the only way forward... I kinda am aware that there will be tough times for myself/my own country too but given the fierce competition put up by the east these days, unless we 'unite' economies we're doomed ...

.. well .. even that was a very optimistic view of the situation. we/ the whole west is doomed anyways.. as histroy shows veryyyy clearly.. power shifts from east to west and vice versa. The days of the west are almost over! it's now china's and the east's times ...

@AFFILIATION

veryyy bad leadership n a poor global outlook of greek governments is the only culprit in greece's own downfall ...

... I, of course, do hope greece recovers asap and that the tough measures that the greek gov had to implement are eliviated soon for the benefit of greece, the greek folks and the EU too (:

luck!

AFFILIATION. Time to grow up little girl and become a woman. You should be protesting the protesters in your own country!

Poetic justice if you ask me. Your country is being served the dish it deserves. Let it be a valuable lesson for others seemingly destine to take the same path of self destruction!

Enjoy sweety! lips lips
If my country serves the dish it deserves it means that you deserve also the lovely comunism accesory you have in China?
Growing uo or not would not make any difference, the issue would be the same. And first of all, I am not the one who started WE ARE ALL GREEKS campaign, I wish I was. Therefore I do whatever I can to support Greece. What do you do?
I arm myself with truth so I can defend against lies.

If you are satisfyed working hard for a dish of food there in China, here, in Greece, we are not.
We live in EU for 30 years and we intend to keep living in a decent life standard.
Greek people live the consequences of a high level game which they have not initiated and many people don't understand that. All European countries, everyone knew and knows other countries' debts. Everyone knew what it will be next, including Ellada's default status. But they didn't want to interfere.Politicials and boguls had interest to be silent and still. Therefore they give us highly expensive money to make their belly more fat.And the Greek citizens should agree? NO!!! We are protesting! And you should too, it is your turn, EU countries!

It is becoming clear we will not default and we are tired, they squeeze the life out of us so yes, we protest!
affiliation-i wish you well as well as everyone who needs high spiritshandshake wink applause hug
Thank you, USA & Australia & Malta and everyone for your support!
And as someone with many close ties in the USA, there is no one with an IQ larger than their shoe size that has any sympathy for your countries people.

Keep up the riots. It makes for exciting news here!
@bubble

wow kid! Despite that cute lil face of u, you can be acidic for real!! laugh

your recent comments are low - maybe europe should do the decent thing & kick Greece out - as far as I can see the only good thing about the place is it's sun tongue
it is unbelievably huge the ignorance among the people.Of course they do not think to push Greece out from Eurozone. They do not intend to do it,they do not want it ,they do not believe that it is possible since Greece is one of the oldest members. It is a game guys.A game to sqeez the people. The start is Greece. The next countries are coming. They squeez to take as much they can.
And you, my Chinese girl,be happy with your $5/day there, we have different life standards we fight for. Anyone can use your "intelectual" and "sophisticated" language but obviously you have nothing to say.
@felix

Yes... Greece has much corruption ...I agree on this...

Now..
Ireland is a country where "saints" are born ....no ??
And all the countries in EU... are innocent... no ???

So all the "saint" countries in EU (like Ireland) must kick Greece out of EU no...???

Yes Greece has a lots of sun... and many other things...
food.. hospital people, beautiful islands,
BUT if you plan to come to Greece..take as many sun protectors as you can...
Don't want to get burned on your back, and blame us Greeks for this too...
I think there is sharkey int.banking/finance institutions who just LOVE milking any country for monay in any way possible. Thay know how to sell doubtful deals to politicians.

Greece had a slight too good social welfare system that cost a tad too much though. So sharks...(?) oh yea! But some responcability lays on the greek leaders. What u do with them btw? Jail i hope.

Regardless, symphaty to the people of greece who came in this situation!

Demonstration, no thanku. I rather wanna know who did not see red warning lights.

cheers
Something to make clear to all the bloggers here...

I maybe angry with our politicians...
I maybe angry with the Greek citizens who support them...

BUT I LOVE GREECE... and I CANNOT STAND THE FACT THAT SOME
EUROPEAN "FRIENDS" BLAME US...ALL THE TIME...

as i told before
Greece is not the only country who has made mistakes and has "sins"
in this european "game"...!!!

and a video for you all...

-and, skip the "jail" comment.. lol
D'like to know who did what wrong here only.
I guess i'll buy the book when it comes out,
or wait til the dvd drops.. laugh

Cheerio, and happy SATURDAY NIGHT dancing

If greece is out of the EUROPEAN union, then I suggest renaming the EU to say ... union only.. or something on those lines since Greece itself europe's #1 symbol.

Alright alright... that was a tad romantic; however, I, of course, strongly disagree that the only good thing bout greece is it's sun -which is already veryyyy good by itself. Sun = big money when one considers the tourism industry!
You are right.Jail is what many of the politicians deserve but it will not be.It is not in our culture. But your comments are very felicitous.
Have you heard the expression, "have your cake and eat it too"?

cake

Trying to rationalize with the irrational, that is what the expresion means.

You talk of your high standard you have, but who is to pay for it if you can no longer afford it?

I think it a very high probability Greece will default and leave Euro.
10kohms you are totally right.

And remember that if or when Europe's Economic Structure
Collapses,
And like wise the USA,
Whom will pay, Chinas industry to manufacture, the goods China
makes
Russia ?
South America?
They would follow the rest of the world in collapse?
I think you would find that Chinas version, of Capitalism will
fail

Thus your Country would face Riot's, and calls for change,
Think this is picking up strength Today
In China the shout for change, is becoming Louder by the day
