Guess what I saw !

While taking a stroll around a lake today,
I saw something I have never seen before.
Indeed, I didn't even know what it was. confused

I took a bunch of pictures of it,
because I figure that I'll likely never see one again. dunno

I looked it up and NOW know what it is.
Any guesses, as to what I saw ?

I'll post the answer, after 10 people guess.
