Jakarta Today
Hi everyoneWonder where all my Indonesian Ladies been, guess everybody's busy lately.
Just a quick update from the craziness been going on in Jakarta the last few days, for more of the story you can read here
tis' sad coz fuel price is only increasing about IDR 1,500 and our price is one of the cheapest in the world.
Must say that as much as I love living in Jakarta but politics in Indonesia really sucks.
*end of rant*

I hope you didn't get stuck on the traffic this afternoon
not at all, i work and live in karawaci, all still nice, quiet and peaceful here
glad i didn't have to go to Jakarta today
how about you, did you get stuck by the traffic?
I don't know whether its true or not..
just in case, be careful..
The mass today was concentrated in DPR/MPR building I think so which is not really close to where my office is. I am in Senayan area. My colleagues chose to go home early around 5 pm, I went out late around 7 pm and wondering what I took; bus, cab, or transjakarta busway. I took the last one (I thought whole corridors were blocked but it was only corridor 9 that was blocked). The traffic was a bit packed in Manggarai to Matraman as it was close to Salemba where there was a protest too but after Matraman all the way to Pulo Gadung, the traffic was smooth.
I couldn't imagine people who have to pass Gatot Subroto or Thamrin area. They most likely stuck for hours
Last Tuesday was much better than today although the rumor said that day would be a total mess. I had to go to Sarinah during day time passing by Thamrin and it only took about 15 minutes trip which normally it could take 30 minutes or more in weekdays, phew
I could only hope these protests will be over soon
Stay safe
hope nothing bad happen tomorrow...
we indeed need more love in the world
stupid thing here is, this protesters some of them are being paid by the opposing party of the the current government so tis' more really to political issues for the coming election rather than genuine people's concern for the inflation let alone economy coz believe me, it's actually business as usual and we'll eventually survive
Stay safe, ladies
oh man... i need to attend a book launch tomorrow afternoon at PP
We are fine in our place. There are/were demonstrations here and there but one that is quite peaceful in my town.
For those of you living in cities - great weekend and stay safe...

the book launch went perfect, more than a hundred came and i have a happy author leaving the store
all iz well today in PP and jakarta
how's your saturday night goin?
