Amazing story, IF it's true

Today a 69 year old man was hiking in the woods in Paradise, California.

This isn't unusual, he's been hiking these woods for close to 60 years.

During this time he's become somewhat familiar
with a mother wild black bear and her yearling and cub.
Today he saw those bears and decided not to stress
her by approaching, but turn the other way.

What he didn't see, nor realize,
was that a moutain lion was stalking the bears, or him.
When he turned the cougar pounced upon his back,
knocking him to the ground.
While that mountain lion tore into his backpack,
he fought for his life,
but was rescued by a very unusual heroine - the mother bear.

Some don't believe his story;

while others do;

What do you think ?

Protective instincts are exceedingly strong, particularly during maternity. I've heard of women lifting small automobiles to save their children, or familiars as in this case here. He's prolly' been feeding them. Come near me aggressively and see how fast my dawgs tear your limbs off!
Yes the man is telling the truth. Having lived in the back woods when I was younger and seen the behaviour of animals in the wild, it does not come as a surprise to understand why the mother bear would protect him.

My cop neighbor's son - where I lived last year - would occasionally come home early from school to find himself locked out of the house, so he'd come over and hang out at my place until his parents would arrive. One afternoon the kid was running down the block crying and screaming coz his dad was after him with a belt. It was the first time I ever saw my American Akia/Pit Bull get so rabid that I immedaitelly had to chain him coz he wanted to maul the cop. The cop would've had to shoot'im dead to save himslef. Whenever he hears infants or young children crying/distressed he gets extremely frantic. I never trained him that, it's just instinctual and not uncommon. Like I said - if it's true - the old dude must've prolly' even been feedin'em.
It can be posible, that the bear was more domestic, feel like wana defend a human creature. I do belive him.
Here in Brasov bears come out form the woods and come on near the buldings to find food and ppl do not scare them they are friendly with them. Haha!

Many tourist and strangers come to my country to make photos with them and is dangerous but they aren't scared of the bears.:)
