friend or foe

My ex boyfriend has written to me to say that he is looking for someone that he would be happy to share the rest of his life with and he would wish the same for me....I told him I was not looking for anyone else and asked him was he saying that he was not happy with me.....I got no reply......help pleaseblushing crying crying applause

hi Blanad, i think he was just confirming, he is moving on with his life, but as you state you are not looking for anyone else, do you mean, not ever, or you still like him, and want to get back with him, i think his message might be interpreted sebveral ways, but I'm leaning towards him telling you, this relationship, has expired forever, hence he dident reply, comfort

Hes polite enough to offer an explanation why he is no longer with you. It might have been more face saving for yourself if you had not replied in such a way. Rather to say you wish him all the best in finding someone better suited to him. Often being gracious rather than desperate can be better for both parties in the long run. He will not feel so threatened by your neediness. If he is just testing the waters and looking for other options its always best to be as unemotional as possible about it. It makes it easier if you were ever to meet again. Lifes lessons has taught me these things.
Always treat your new freedom as a blessing , because he was not right for you, or you not for him, so move on, try not to cry too much over it. Just go out this weekend with your gal pals and have a nice time . Plenty of fish in the sea dear girl. saskia
