Hobby `s Metal detecting.

Anyone around that has the same hobby as me.I am a metal detectorist. Looking for what our ancestors left for us to find.
To date i have found two gold coins minted in the 1st Century.A.D.
A few celtic silver coins,(skeats)Quite amount of silver English hammered coins.loads of Roman bronze coinage,plus Artefacts.

I,m not a metal detecterist,but I just love reading History,,and am interested in Rome and all things Roman.Can you tell me if you search and keep for your own collection,or perhaps you sell to a dealer...Do you personally keep records of where you find the coins.. I do not see too much harm regarding your hobby,as long you personally are committed to recording history...

Hi, just interested in where you found the gold coins? Here I see the guys in early morning on the beach with the metal detectors but I think they are more into finding lost rings etc.

COOOL!!! I have a Underwater detector I will hopefully get to use this summer on a couple of dive trips. Plus, what kind f detector do you use? I live about 1 hour from Whites Metal Detecting headquarters. The BEST Customer service ever. Havent found anything like what you have found. recently I found a old grave marker number on a friends farm, just by where the old house once stood. One of the fun hobbies to have.
May your detector always beep the right tones...

two three of us in the Aussie/NZ threads enjoy a bit of metal detecting, however the sheilas complain a lot they get pretty bored when we chat about detectors and finds etc
