Bikram Yoga

A few months ago, I had a medical examination, and it was include a X-tray check-up session. Still on the X-tray room, the doctor showed me about my back-bone.

It was shown that my back-bone crooked, not a straight line. I remember on 2007 July I felt down when I did mountain trekking at Arjuna Mountain and followed another felt down next year at another mountain. Until now, I feel uncomfortable with my back bone. Especially when I carry a rucksack/backpack on my back.

My friend suggests me to take a Bikram Yoga class. Is there anyone here have taken a Bikram Yoga class?

If I hear the word Yoga, immediately, I feel an intense back pain moping neck pain, shoulder pain, leg pain, arm pain, uh oh
it can't be healthy or natural to contort your body like thatmumbling

Oh all this is giving me a headache doh
ooops, I almost forgot.....

Hi Narniawave nice picsthumbs up
Narnia, all the top professional Yoga instructors, would refuse to take you in there class, unless you are perfectly healthy, in mind, and limb, anyone who would digress from this position, is to be regarded, with a jaundiced eye. comfort
welcome Narnia handshake

several years ago after sharp endless pain in my spine I visited a specialist and my diagnosis forced me to find something which could help me to move on.

I have been " on yoga " treatment last 12 years and I can move, walk, sit and sleep nearly without pain.

I started with Hatha Yoga, after I have tried different kinds of yoga even poweryoga and as well bikram one.

Bikram or Hot yoga here is made in special sauna because you need about 40C and humidity 40%.
It takes about 90 mins with 26 postures and 2 max 3 breathing exercises.

Go for it Narnia! Only .... people with heart and lungs diseases cannot do this type of yoga.

Cross fingers for you and believe me, yoga is a way to health.
Namaste.

I suggest you sleep on thin matras on the floor. I have a bad back also and this helps
Hi Narnia, if it is to fix your back I suggest you take pilates rather than bikram yoga. I took bikram yoga and I can say it's more of a carbo burning activity as it is done in a very hot room (42 degrees).
thanks peeps for all your suggestions.
I will check it which one it suits me and makes me feeling better.
Thanks once again, I really appreciate it wine
