Frankly, I am against the practice not single/not looking people to be here and I find this option on the profiles controversial to the name Connecting Singles. There are forums and blogs everywhere so for me it s a weird reason for such people to stay here.

read profiles. Many people just do not bother themselves to read profiles where is clearly stated looking / in relationship... or something similar.
CS was set up earlier than facebook has become popular ( in some areas,fb is not possible to use even, vice versa CS - yes ...)
CS, from beginning, has never been just a dating site but I know couples who met here and are even married happily.
Mods have nothing against, when " taken " people join the site

I agree about the deception side of it.
But i agree it is more than a dating site, it is a place where any one can come and join in many activities.
But yes it does promote itself as a dating site.
Yes Singles have connected, whilst others r not looking, but r we the ones who should judge why they r here, as long as they r honest and respectful of others that r here to find a loved one.
