Were you ever married decades and realized one day

I have learned a lot in 26 years of marriage, such as don't be quick or smart and jump into things without thinking...marry for love and mutual respect and honesty..marry a "best friend" that will be so important...let love be in the forefront..don't compete with each other your in this together..no money struggles talk abt your ways of dealing with money upfront,if your a miser for heaven's sake say so! Sharing is bonding,whether at holidays or watching a sunset together or eating the same frozen icy. Emily Dickerson wrote "It's not love's going hurt my days,but that it went in little ways." So true..Never take each other for granted or belittle each other..this only leads to hurt feelings and seperation (I know),divorce...I hope all you out there find your true love.
