I remember when Capt. Kittinger did his High altitude jump . He was on all the TV shows at the time . It was also roumered that he broke the sound barier in his atempt but I don't think that was ever verified .

The speed at which the sound barrier occures is proportional to the atmosphere and it's density . He may have exceeded the velocity in free fall at ground level mach 1 but I don't know what it would be at that altitude . It will have to be determined if indeed he was succsessful in that endevor . Congradulations anyway, quite an achievment . . . applause applause applause

I never saw Cap Kittinger do his fall... I am going to check it out on Youtube though. It is incredible!

I was eating my dinner at the time, and just sat there with my fork suspended in mid air (excuse the pun!). Couldn't eat anything! It was too exciting!!!!! wow wow wow
