A DAY TO BE WITH FAMILY:Thanksgiving memories

When i was a little girl, we had Thanksgiving at my aunties house. We entered the house and the first thing to catch the eye was the huge 12 foot Christmas tree, no presents were there and that was ok, because it was Thanksgiving , but the tree was already decorated , i think it was for us children, I would look at what was cooking, and wanted to put on my little apron to help.
I was there to see the turkey, and watched the dressing be made, and my aunt always put the yolk of a eggs in the turkey , they were mine she did it for me it was a tradition for her. Then as the time came around to eat this wonderful meal that many had worked so hard we all sat down to eat. We prayed to GOD that our family's would be safe and well, as the winter arrived on the scene, After eating this gracious meal , it seemed to always snow just a little in our town as to signify winter is here, lol ,this happened year after year.
When we finished our meal the children sat around the Christmas tree, i would set and watch the tree light blinking and the bubble lights blowing bubbles in the tubes , I was fasinated by this and looking at the bulbs was a wonderful color of amazed beauty to me.
There was Angel hair on the tree and ittle German figurets hung on the tree. It was so pretty. At that age you don't realize that many in the world don't have alot because you are so young . NOw we have other things on our mind and thats how ot make do with what we have since in this year we have so many people doing with out, so this year instead of Thinkng about the beautiful tree , how much can we help others and give them afew of there needs. THere are so many in the world that have not even shoes on there feet d clothing to wear, or food t eat up on this day and many other days lets help others this year as Christmas arrives and help people from all over the world. Give A child a hand , feed them don't let them do with out . Amen ... angelwhite THank you GOD for our needs this day
