Before I go...
...I just wanted to say thank you. Thanks for all the laughter and fun I've gotten to share with you.
Thanks to all the nice people who have said wonderful things to me.
Thanks for all those who have left insightful comments on my blogs.
Thanks for the friendships and to some very special ladies,
thanks for....what we've shared.
I just wanted to say all this before... perhaps the final curtain.
Today, especially between 3 pm and 3 am here in New Jersey,
we are bracing for the impact of what many experts are calling the 'perfect storm'.
Named Sandy, it is a massive slow moving hurricane with very strong winds
& tons of rain. Lots of flooding is likely.
Last year we got a major hurricane, Irene. It killed about a dozen people.
This one, Sandy, is much larger and much stronger.and will stay here much longer too.
Normally we only get a hurricane every decade or so here in NJ,
but perhaps global warming is making the weather more energetic.
Regardless, it is anticipated that more will be affected and unfortunately, more will die due to this storm.
While some of those deaths are due to pure stupidity (i.e. trying to drive through deep flooding),
conversely, it's much more difficult to avoid a big trees toppling ontop of you, when you don't see it coming (i.e. .inside the home).
In addition it is anticipated that toppled trees and telephone poles will knock the power out for millions of people.
So, you might not hear from me for days, even if I do survive.
Its possible that I might be buried by a big maple or oak tree,
or I might just have no power, or I might be relatively unaffected.
Any outcome is truly possible.
Sometimes life can be like a roll of the dice, not totally in our control.
Some people will roll sevens and unfortunately, some will crap out.
Only time and potentially my next blog will tell.
Then again, you may never know.
So, until/if you hear from me again, goodbye & thanks again.

Let all angels be with you!
Haha...just kidding! Hey, wish you and and everyone there will be safe!
J-Lo... is that you?
Seriously, my prayers are with the East Coast and especially those idiot who chooses to "ride out" the storm in their beach front home because someone might steal his big screen TV.
Keep warm and safe.
Whoa ! the power JUST went out, but is back on
after a moment. Not sure how long it will last.
SE - I do have some nice paintings, but I've never told you
about them.
Thanks, I will definitely try.
Wow ! It's getting crazy out there !
Be - don't keep your fingers crossed !
I don't want to cause a boating accident.
Hu - I'm in a similar situation, but one big tree
crashing down can take out several levels of house.
Sa - Thanks.
Um... move where there are earthquakes instead ?!?!?
Seriously, I've never had any problems with the mob.
However, they are here. I've known of 2 restaurants
run by the Gambino 'family'.
R - thanks I'm trying.
W - I'm in bed under the blankets as I write this. Cozy !
S - that depends upon what happens over the next 12 hours or so.
If I'm alive & have power, I'll post something on CS.
And keep safe!
Sat through a few of them myself, including Andrew and Floyd!
It's an eerie feeling to wait for a Storm like that!
I hope everyone does and reports back in asap so we can see you're all alright.
Try with a glass of Scotch Wiskey! I think it will be a great combination!
Man, it's crazy out there. I see big trees being blown
back & forth like blades of grass.
However, I see only one more downed tree.
Its in a neighbor's yard across the street at an angle to mine.
I'm sure there's lots of them out of my line of sight though.
However, I'm not going out there looking for more.
Hey Ve Good to see you & lots of good people.
Thanks to you & sp & Re and everyone for the well wishes.
No whiskey for me. I don't drink alcohol.
I gave it up when I was about 22-24, somewhere in there.
The only alcohol I have in the house now, is an old bottle of
Kaluha, which I keep intending to use for ice cream topping,
or perhaps some white Russian drinks for house guests.
But, I keep forgetting about it, as its in a top cabinet.
Be safe..
my prayers are for u tonite be safe.
I will have ot exchange it. After trying several things with
the customer service rep. for the cable company, that was her recommendation.
While the power was off, I moved the branch in front to the curb.
Eventually the township will haul it. I'm going to need a chainsaw for the tree in back. But, that can certainly wait.
The winds are vicious out there. I saw a squirrel dashing from tree to tree. I'm glad I'm not a squirrel out in this.
Luck of the Irish with you friend
Jim, hope all to finish soon and successful for all of you!
Here is bed time and I will go sleep. Hope tomorrow morning to hsve good news from you!
Take care!
