For some this is just a game.. An escape from reality. An escape from their sad lifes. They don't have faith anymore and theirfor they just want to wipe out everyone else his hope by making fun of them.

The truth on line is like truth in reality.
It is used for the purchase of Intimacy. If you are open and honest all the time you could end up getting Hurt or hurting emotionally.
Truth is always best used with a sprinkle of Diplomacy dunno

Dear Claudya , I really can't say as to why people do not tell the truth . I suspect that it has many reasons known only to the prevaricate . I suspect that one might be the illusion of power or wisdome much like the reverse in accusing others of same would be . you also just have to wait and usualy the perpatrator is exposed . It also will seem ovious to everyone except the star of the folly .

From the op comes an interesting point, there is a line between telling the truth & being sincere, if a guy goes up to a girl in bar & offers to buy her a drink, he's telling the truth, he wants to buy her a drink, is he being sincere? well that's going to depend on his motive for buying the drink, so to answer the op, if the guy has an ulterior motive ie he wants to sleep with girl then if he went up to hear & said "I want to sleep to with you" her likely reaction would be a slap round the face (I'm being old fashioned here)whereas if he asks to buy her a drink he would hope to gain from this, therefore that's the gain from telling a lie, hope that all makes sensedunno

It's just the way it is. A lot of guys here try to use internet dating as a line-up for ONS. roll eyes If you want to keep your identity hidden it's a lot easier here than if you meet someone face to face.
Just be careful, if something seems odd just block people and should you meet someone for a date, pick a public place. handshake

The answer is very very simple.....
People on line do not believe that they will ever meet with who they are conversing with, hence, they make themselves more interesting so as to keep up a conversation with people.

It is not hard to figure out......confused confused confused

Not at any stage did i say EVERBODY does the above....

That is true as well here.
I was just putting another avenue across as to this very old and tired question that just keeps popping up from time to time. (read all the bloody time)

I also guess that in most cases though due to being in different parts of the world, some (not all, but some) think that they will never meet, therefore tell them what they want to hear.
