Since my ancestors were mostly French I'd love to learn French.

Bulgarian, English, Russian, and mostly passively French. I know a lot of German, Spanish, and Italian words too. I d love to learn German, I love this language.

For Ariel: For Ariel: German is a very complex language and not logic at all. Best learn it by speak it and always add up words you pick up new. But mostly it is written as spoken unlike French for example.

Thank you Connect! I can read it, it s not hard. The hard is the Grammar (the cases) and the complex words, but I agree it s easier to go from the practice to the rules. German is more difficult than English or French but there are much more difficult languages ;)

I speak American, some Spanish, Accounting, Underwriting and also English. I've always wanted to be fluent in Spanish.

P.S. filipina is not a language. It refers to a woman who is from the Philippines. A pinoy is a filipino male. Filipinos speak many languages, but the common language taught in the PI is Tagalog...no not the Girl Scout cookies. Those are Tagalongs

George, in University I learned Ancient Greek but only for one semester, according to the program. Latin has a lot in common in its Grammar with German. I love Latin proverbs.

As about using the Google translation, my impression is that not many people use it here. I know about a person who uses it and it can be seen in their blogs which are hardly understandable.

One more thing, sorry for the multiple comments, George. Bulgarian is a very old language too, at least of 1500 years and the Cyrillic alphabet was introduced in Bulgaria first by the disciples of the saints Cyril and Method. BTW Bulgarian is a quite difficult language, somewhere between German and Finnish

Tagalog is the slang word for our language but the proper name of it is Filipino. That's our national language ... we got hundreds of dialects in our native tongues. Mine is Cebuano (I came from the Visayas part of the Phils), the northern part of the Phils have their dialects also and so for the people in the southern part of our country.

I know a bit of Arabic, and Spanish, average on English. Would like to learn French.
