strenght

As you may have noticed i haven't been so active here these last few days. But as you may know I play santa each year at a local hospital for children. So in preparation for that i have been reading allot of the letters that those children had written for santa. I don't know how to describe this feeling, these children are just so brave.
I have here a letter from a 7 year old boy, his biggest wish is that santa would take away the sadness of his parents once he is gone. This boy is so young and knows this is his last Christmas but all he cares about are the people he loves the most.
He isn't the only one.. Almost all of them ask to take care of their parents or brother or sister.
I've had another one from a boy who said he was soon going to live with his daddy in heaven.. and if i could visit his mom once in a while so she wouldn't get lonely.
I'm never shy with witty replies and such.. but what do you answer to such questions???
It makes me so sad to know these kids need to think about all of that. But it also makes me proud to get to know each and every one of them, and hopefully to make them forget their situation for just a few seconds and make them smile.

Teddy,
Showing up to these children and bringing a smile to their face, is the best answer you can give them.
Then just reassure them, that their parent/s, brothers and sisters will be ok in the time to come.
Truly a great and rewarding thing you do Teddy.
Well done my friend.cheers
Your doing a great job Teddy, the children will love you as a Santa for them. Just give of yourself and you will get plenty back.

calli.. coming from soming as wonderful as you.. this compliment means so much more. thank you.

timotie.. thanks i'll be praying for them as well.

Simmo.. They are fun to be with but for adults is allot harder to forget the reality of their situation but on occasions we are able to enjoy ourselves completely.. be sure about that.. When they are smiling and dancing it is a wonderful feeling.

And hey.. if any of them has a cute single mom.. Santa might be willing to keep his promise blushing

Welela.. We give allot of ourselves for those children but the appreciation we get in return truly are overwhelming. So we'll keep doing this for many years to come.

Checkers, Thanks sir. Hows the car holding up? As Deputy-Santa.. I am priveledged to present you with a little gift that might come in handy...
