Merry Christmas Everyone

Hi everyone. It's been a busy couple of weeks or so for me. Overnight shifts and arranging a surprise birthday party for my son who will be 18 on the 29th of this month. I with make his 18th birthday a birthday he won't forget. He will have another surprise on the day---his sister will be flying over from Dublin after she finishes work. She has asked me not to say anything and I won't. What is special about this visit is she will be staying with us for a couple of days. I hope you have a great Christmas. Thank you for your comments. I will be going out shortly for a walk and a visit to my favourite pub which is open for 4 hours today. I'm not the type of person who likes staying in all day every day and go out even if it's just for a short walk. Enjoy your Christmas everyone. One thing my boss said a couple of days ago which made me think when one of my colleagues asked if he was giving his children lots of gifts. My boss said it's not the gifts that matter it's spending time with your family. Through working with people from different countries I get to learn about different ways that Christmas is celebrated and it's lovely learning all this. Christmas means different things to different people. For me it's a chance to relax and be with my son and if my daughter visits then it's all the more special.
