Honesty is the best policy?

On the face of it this seems to be make sense, but if that's the case, why do so few people respect it? Surly it's one of those things that is all or it is nothing?

Thinking about it, it probably has to do with how good or bad a liar you are?

Honesty doesn't seem to be directly related to telling the truth, looking in the dictionary they seem to be two different things! maybe thats the problem...

honesty IS still the best policy

U tell a lie today. U hv to tell 10 more tomorrow to cover that 1 lie. Then, u hv to tell a 100 more lies to cover those 10 lies.

Life is already complex, why commplicate it further. Whether a white lie or not I stil maintain to stay clear of being dishonest.

I always feel honesty is the best policy.... surely we all want to be ourselves at the end of the day with whoever we meet!

Honesty is important, not only the "telling lies" bit, but also being honest what you want and expect in a relationship. If either isn't there, it won't work long term.
