On Line Dating

I was given a book on the subject of On line Dating Rules. I began reading, and within a few lines, I realized, I had been doing everything and I mean everything wrong, no wonder I never met "the one" for me. Reading on, it seemed I was a complete failure at on line dating. Too poetic, too romantic, too much information, just too much, it said all that scared men away. Really, are men intimidated by that, who knew! Apparently, I don't smile enough in my photographs, well, I am dramatic, not a smiler, I think, lol. Keep it light and breezy, don't give to much information, don't answer emails too quickly, in fact, wait 24 hours so you, don't seem desperate, never be on line on weekends and holidays, you should be doing something exciting, never kiss before 3 dates, no matter how much you want to, so you don't seem too easy, never call a man, men like to be the hunter.. it went on and on and on with the so called rules.. finally, I put down the book, looking out the window, thinking... then I dropped it in the garbage can...in the end... I must be me.. anything else does not feel right... what do you think?... do we need rules for this , like a video game or just be who we are .....

Those rules are based on what works on a percentage basis. If you'd like more email and dates perhaps you might consider adopting at least some of the rules. Personally I think being yourself is honest and is going to attract the person who will be interested in who you really are. This may take a while because people are generally shallow and don't want to take the time to find out what you're all about. Fortunately not all people are this way, It'll just take more time is all. On a positive note, when you do find a man that has taken the time to get to know you, it will probably end up being a healthy, long lasting relationship.
There is no rules.. Just do it!
