I saw this film last night at my local cinema

One of the best films I've seen in a long time

A gritty message of hope and scenes with killer whales that at times made my eyes well up in tears for the beauty of man's bond with 'a big fish'. The little boy is so cute too.

a non sappy type of redemption film. Life is tough but there is gritty hope.

I didn't hear about this movie. I am glad you enjoyed it.
It appears to have good reviews from viewers. Personally, I am not much into recent French movies. However, there is always an exception.
I would rather watch Cyrano, All the morning of the world or some Australian movies. Australian movies are more honest in my opinion.

Red Dog was a cute film that was released a little while ago that you might like. Oddly enough its about.....a man and a dog

But there is sooooooo much good French and European cinema

any thing with David Wenham in is good he's made funny, quirky and serious films always of a very high quality.
