what is ur
best way to say no?I know that some guys believe that there is no better way to say no, or as they say, the best way to say no is to say yes instead
The other day I was doing my daily duties, which usually include not very pleasant stuff - sorting out the results of hardworking others.
In that case my boss asked me to call all unfortunate candidates (some after being interviewed for the second time) and tell them why they haven't been chosen...and also ask them how they feel about it ....i asked him really bad to skip that very last part, but the answer was NO!
Half of applicants answered - that's alright, not a big deal, we already knew that
The other half said something like - ohhh, you dont really wanna know!
There was one guy though, who didn't spare my ears and once again here we are! he suggested all our company to go on a s*xual trip with our boss and not forget bosses mother and father and brother and so on( in different words of course) didnt sound as a good idea for me though
Any suggestions please!
And no, not about work only, any all-purpose NO if anyone knows such a one???!!

are you asking the best way to say no!!
How we convey it depends on the situation.
If the situation is calm, I would say No politely and in a very calm voice.
If the situation is a bit tense, then I raise my voice a bit louder.
But if the situation is beyond control, then I still raise my voice with a big NO follow with Please, leave my room or leave my office ........
there is not the best way to say "no"... people are oversensitive to "no" reply and many people feel uncomfortable to say " no"
Saying " no" is a part of my job. I always try to approach individually to person when I say " no" to him or her.
I always try to explain them, what were my / our expectations and why their results / solutions ... haven´t met our expectations.
I speak slowly, clearly, without intonation and emotions, I use simple expressions and short sentences. I am smiling with my professional smile. Each my gesture confirms only one ;
" I am a professional and formal. "
Have a great day Aisha.
If some woman would ask me for a nookie ,I just couldn`t find the right way to say no and probably would say yes instead
Thanks for your comment.
I am feeling like our jobs have something in common :)
I also believed that a smile could make a person, you talk to, more comfortable, until recently one annoyed voice asked me - what are you laughing at?
So since now on i'm trying to express pain on my face
of course I always feel bad bout any rejection, just trying to make it more visible, because obviously many dont see that.
That all interview thing was just for a tick off.
My boss already found a person for this position (his friend)
I believe you know how it works, he just needed something to report to headquarters
and me dealing with all the mess.
I ve got an maybe take them all to pub for a beer?
just to start my No with - whould you mind a with me at 5pm tonight?
btw how many do u usually drink within a football match?
I remember i did 5, but just once
Market, when i did 5, i was 22 already further on my results started to get worse
But I do have problems with handling to watch people dealing with this No.
I cant get them out of my life right after saying No, and this would be not very humane, what do u think?
I read lots bout ways of saying No, but it's mostly about the saying only, nothing to do with watchig people afterwards.
Good luck in saying NO the right way so there is no doubt you really mean NO!
From what I can see you have pride of being youself and let everyone know that you want all your decisions to be respected.
Thats just
I'd like to learn the way to feel that as you do
Take the problem and look for the common denominator,
Then work on that aspect.
Perhaps its the Gift/Curse of your Stunning beauty and magnetic personality
If all else fails Restraining orders Galore.
I often tried to soften the blow and be polite, but know now that doesn't work. So if I'm saying no, I'll say it directly now - in a private setting.
In a professional context, I think we all have to deal with no's etc. and I actually welcome feedback (I ask for it a while after starting a new job) and think it's good to get an explaination, that's the only way to know what went wrong and to learn from it.
I have no reason to say no...
Morning old beagle...
The first time do it with a smile.
The second time with a stern face.
The third time you ask him if he can understand the language.
But never motivate why; it leaves room for a discussion which you will always lose.
Catfoot, yei sooo nice to have u back please dont scary us with such bad news anymore ok?
Thanks darling.
Although i already had something like that, my boss always likes others to follow his orders, word to word, but yei, now i see that tis was probably my mistake in doing it so. I shudave made everything according to simple rules of business communication, but tell him i did everything as he asked.
The result wud be the same, and he wud never know the truth, but i wud never let my face down....i guess
but bosses are better with saying no then his employees off course so until you can say no better than him just say a bloody yes..
oh and if u are having trouble in saying no in a normal mood try saying in an angry mood
put a little anger , sparks it on and VOILA ..
you will have plenty of no to say or maybe something more creative like hell no .. it makes the sound more dramatic like the sound of dozens of no's ..
or would he .. hmmm...
I let them live with their own truth, thats easy for everyone....i believe
thanks very much for ur input, very insightful
I think, thats the only way, thanks dear.
Now I'm thinking, why I havent asked for a public advice before calling all those guys, it might go absolutely different way, more enjoyable and more professional :)
