MY LITTLE GIRLI was the first to see you and hold you up
When you came into this world
I was so excited I forgot to even see

The first word I heard you say was ball
But I thought it would be Daddy

Til I thought, your mom would go batty
The times we've had
The moments we've shared
The lace and pretty blonde curls
From the first moment I looked I knew
I was looking at my little girl
Curled up in our bed all safe and warm
Between your mom and me
There was many a nights
I'd wake from my sleep
To find I'd been sleeping in pee
I remember the times we'd be walking outside
When you'd look out from under my arm
Those trusting blue eyes
When they'd look up in mine
Knowing Daddy would keep you from harm
Time went so fast, why couldn't it last
I don't like life being this way
Thinking of all that I've missed
If I had just one wish
I'd go back to that very first day
Sweetheart you gave my life purpose, meaning and love
Now it's time to give your own life a whirl
but just remember no matter how far or old you get
