Well i don't quite understand the concept of oxymoron but they say that " happily married " IS an oxymoron.
What about happily divorce then ?...
And if happily married IS an oxymoron, then can anyone tell me why on earth am i still here ???

A lot of people refer to marriage as a 'drudge', so then how can you be married and happy at the same time?????

There is nothing contradictory about being happily married, since it's possible, to be both happy and married at the same time in the same relationship.
The fact, that happily married couples do exist, and can testify to the happiness and success of their marriage, should be an encouragement to those who are seeking a lifetime commitment, till death do they part.

This is a definition of oxymoron. It means that something is contradictory. Whoever "they" are that say "happily married" is an oxymoron obviously has not had a happy marriage.
I have had a happy marriage until a few years ago, and it is no oxymoron. It is possible and it is a blessing from above.
The relationship I am now in is also happy and we will be getting married in the foreseeable future.
So take my word for it, "they" are not always right.

Like if a man often make wife joke it doesnt necessarily mean that he hate his wife, but maybe he is stuck with the wife gets all the money kind of situation. But it doesnt means that he doesnt love her.
Like dedovic say, there is a thin line between love and hate, and some do say that love and hate operates in the same frequency.
