Bipolar Disorder

Who has or knows of someone who has bipolar disorder? It is a serious mental condition which requires medication and therapy. I happen to be one of the few who has bipolar disorder. It can really mess with your head. Being able to talk to someone helps tremendously, even if it's about nothing in particular.
Most of the time a person with this condition functions withing the "norms" of society and is not perceived to be different in any way.

I am a psychiatric nurse and would be very familiar wit Bi polar disorder> Yes it can be serious but if the individual can engage with medication and other treatment regiemes the individual can lead a full life. The difficulty can occur when the person struggles to accept their diagnosis or feel that the medication dampens them so much that they feel a shadow of their true selves.Talking therapies are very helpful to maintain equilibrium.
I have bipolar disorder. I was diagnosed 31 years ago and have been battling it ever since.

I have posted about it extensively in the forums. It does help to talk about it sometimes. I prefer not to most of the time though.

Good luck to you.handshake
