Life After Death

Have we lost our awe towards technology? Has it provide the limits of its era? Although new discoveries and scientific breaks throughs are recorded all the time, however nothing of magnitude that has grab global headlines, for example 9/11. I see disasters and death, war and destructions; no cure for aids, cancer or a fountain of youth, and even with globalization, there yet world peace. Are we now more interested in death than in life? Is life moving too constant and so we revert back to what is inevitable; death.

And once again the two contestants are religion and science, the same two opponents in an unending war of social democracy, for the last few centuries. So we turn to what science has yet to provide undeniable evidence for, a life after death. Does ghost exist? If death is just another beginning; like life was the beginning of death, we live again, another chapter in another realm? Or do we just rot, return to Mother Earth? Religion seems to have the most acceptable belief and an easier way of accepting something is gone, but what is the truth guess death will only tell.

We are all born to die... but why?
find the purpose of life and you needn't rely on only death to tell wink

And no Dao, we don't just rotcomfort

i dont believe we can ever have an insight into death, until it happens to us..........is that it...is it just like we never existed,we dont exist anymore so its like before we were born, can it be that simplistic,it beggars the question why did we even exist,,other than to reproduce ensuring further existence for the human race,,what of all our experiences and knowledge, were dead its of no further use..there have been numerous claims of people dieing then coming round, talk of walking towards the light,,long tunnels etc,but for those this happened to they clearly werent dead, how could they have been if they are telling of theyre experience,,this may be a sub conscious or dreamlike experience...who knows...i like to believe there is some kind of afterlife, but as youre closing words suggest ...only death will tell....dunno dunno its a very interesting topic and im sure each individual has theyre own beliefs....
Science attempts to prove how we got here and attempts to keep us here for a longer time . Religion tries to manipulate the masses into relative decent behaviour by instilling fear into people. Some people need religion as a guideline for life to help society work and function . Even with such guidelines instilled in them , human instinct takes over when life and livelihoods are threatened . It's in our DNA .
Interesting blog Mr Hieu Dao
Hi Hieu. Following your topic on Ghosts and Spirits, to which I commented...I can also say the same about "Life after Death".
As I know there are Spirits bound here who need to return to the Light, I have spoken to many people who have had a "near death experience" and have seen the other site - and so have I.
I also happen to do "past life regressions" with people and these have showed that time is circular and, when there is Death, there is also a "Rebirth" as our soul is eternal and never dies and also needs to evolve with each incarnation.angel
I agree with Redex as the identity you have as a person is linked to your body so it stop existing when you die. Your being goes where it came from to be recycled into the system. That is what I believe dunno
Itchywitch; I hope we don't just rot and there's something after, guess now we just have to worry about the legacy we leave behind and what we are remembered for

Twazzle; thanks for your input, it is an interesting topic for there are so many stories and opinion on to what the answer could be. If experiences make us who we are; so are experience of our past meant to be experienced cause fate has decided that we we're suppose to be who we are? And hence our existence are not only our own but an intergraded system that's connect to another, therefore if we cease to exist, our counterpart will also never exist? So maybe we exist so others can exist?

Nice feet; thanks for another compelling argument on this topic, I assume although religion provides these guidelines, it however leaves a lot of the interpretation to the readers, and like this topic we define things in our own perspective.

Minerva; thanks again for reading and comment, I've unblock my account I think, could you possibly email that info, thanks heaps.

Redex; thanks for reading and sharing your story, I do recall stories of the recently decease calling loves one after they die, so maybe we do linger around for a little before we enter the big unknown. Thanks for sharing

Ekself; thanks reading for your opinion
