Ya ever have one of them days?
Okay, Ladies...you will have to explain this one to some of the men...
A long time ago in a small town far, far away...an event occurred that could have resulted in severe consequences for a young Cowboy I knew. Ahem.
Anyway... I was supposed to meet mah girlfriend...whom I shall call 'Linda'... for lunch at a little place with great food.
When I arrived...standing there with Linda...is mah ex-girlfriend, whom I'll call 'Brenda'.
I mentioned 'small town', right?
They had gone to high school together...had run into each other at the Cafe...and got to talking.. Oh yeah. (Ladies, please stop nodding your heads and chuckling.)
Linda had invited Brenda to have lunch with us. Okay. Not so bad. This was manageable.
Then Brenda gave me a nice smile and said that after lunch, she and Linda were 'going shopping together'.
Not so okay. Mah male 'flee for the border' alert was going off...mah brain was at Defcon 4 and expecting an imminent global apocalypse.
Mah girlfriend and mah ex...shopping. Gee, I wondered if the subject of me was going to come up ever so briefly?
All I could say, in a voice much like Alvin the Chipmunk...was "Oh. Shit."

At that lunch...Ah was not only out-numbered...twice...they had a whole bunch of fun teasing me.
Joking aside..it was a fun lunch...and we had a good time...
