Physics vs Murphy’s Law
If you accidentally drop a slice of buttered bread to the ground, it will always drop with the buttered side to the top. Murphy’s Law does not apply here. This is pure physics. You can even toss it up in the air spinning like a coin; as when you toss for heads or tails. The first time it will always drop with the buttered side to the top.
I know some of you will now tell me that you have tried it and it came down with the buttered side to the bottom but this is where Murphy’s Law comes into the equation. You have applied the butter to the wrong side of the bread.
It is very important to note that this experiment will only work once per slice of bread. Thereafter the balance of nature is disturbed. If you want to repeat the experiment you will need to prepare another slice of bread.
Have a great day!

It's 50/50...but does the weight of the butter skew the percentage?...
Margarine an butter have the same balance. It will work just the same.
He knew nothing about physics. He had formulated his laws based on his own negligence and bad luck.
His 4th law applies here.
If nothing can go wrong then something will in anyway.
At least in Budhism they have got it right. They say that there is no such a thing as Good Luck, or Bad Luck... things just happen
Hope you know what I talk about?
Aaaahh "Mythbusters"
That's what they are called. it is interesting to see the bread fell with the right side up and when it does not, there is somthing wrong then as you say, theres to mush butter maybe?.
They even throw it from a high building and it ended up the right way.
All In all I'm only here to wish you a great Saturday, my friend!
Have good weekend experimenting. I will not be experimenting with the bread I am baking I will butter it and put homemade chutney on with a big lump of cheese. I hope I do not drop it or I will go hungry
The very first time it will always be butter on top. It is pure physic.
Thereafter it becomes random but it is never 50/50 as the following two of Murphy's Laws will apply.
#1
If anything can go wrong it will.
#3
If several things can go wrong it will always be the one inflicting the most damage.
The probability of butter on the new rug is now 51 to 49.
They got it wrong on TV.
You see this only holds true the first time the bread is dropped. You must use a newly spread slice every time.
If you can FedEx a slice of that it will be greatly appreciated. Just make sure to place it right side up in the box.
Now I'm sorry I did not see that show. It would have saved me a lot of research, experiments, bread and butter.
Exactly. Which brings us back to Murphy's 3rd law.

If several things can go wrong it will always be the one inflicting the most damage.
Ok, two toasted anchovies coming up.
Sorry, 30 minutes delay in delivery.
KN,
With the price of butter lately I must ask the same question as Red did. Will margarine work as well?
I don't have that disadvantages. My head is like the checques I write. Bounces lake a ball.
I WOULD BE WORTH IT
You were not at your table so I ate it. Will order another. The delay now is a bit shorter. Only 29 minutes and 60 seconds.
With all the buttering I have to do it becomes prohibitively expensive to use real butter. But maybe I can keep one block in my fridge for the special ones like you.
Honey, have I ever told you how attractive I find you? (Real butter!)
Maybe you can have a pizza on the house. The stairs to the roof is in the back.
but then I find all women attractive.
Thank you very much. At least my theory is not disproved.
This seems to be the ultimate solution
Good weekend!
The test is only limited of bread? Our rice, our noodle can't work?
Maybe that Murphy's Law can gave us an explanation.
NOW.... lets strap a piece of toast buttered side up to a cat's back...... which way will they land (feet first or buttered side first) .....???????? ......
