Girl give thanks for where you are. You hate teaching so do not go back there.
Last year at this time I was utterly depressed and frustrated. Everything was going wrong. I just said I have spent three years writing applications with no result so I will not lose anything if I devote the rest of the year writing.
I am giving the finishing touches to my sixth and seventh books and plan to spend the rest of this year promoting and advertising. I did self publish but the feed back I got from those who bought copies are positive.
There are a lot of spill off from the books and right now I have about ten persons awaiting to pursue the crazy spill off ideas with me.
I do not think you have too much time I think you are not using up the time you have.
A thought just occurred to me to share with you some lines I posted on poets corner some time ago. I hope you do not
My Passing Thoughts

Two thoughts per minute not as many as I sometimes think
They do not stop or even leave a trace behind
Good bad indifferent they do not care
Influenced by time, events even sometime the atmosphere
Not bothering to follow order, pattern or even sequence
One hundred and twenty thoughts per hour there's something here
Please someone create a filter, I can't let all disappear
They can't be all bad seeing they originate in me
They surely won't come my way again I have no certainty
Who can tell if a thought mulled over may not just become an idea
Three thousand thoughts per day should they all go to waste
Surely they should be stored and examined another time and place
Who can measure the power the human mind releases when stirred
Seeing what it can conceive it can also achieve
An idea cherished long enough can become a burning passion or desire
Ninety thousand thoughts occurring in a month cannot be all bad
Oh that there was someone to arrest me for the thoughts I murder
Who can tell the loss this world has known and been denied
Thoughts and ideas killed by me in their infancy
and I walk free knowing the I robbed the world some benefits
One million thoughts each year and counting with space for more
Going to waste in the age of technology and advance knowledge
I can dream and conceptualize but how can I capture
Waster that I am yet thinking I use what I have
Thoughts going their way because I know others will come along

You don't like teaching? I loved teaching. I actually took a big drop in salary when I switched to teaching. I taught secondary level for one year and it was about as close to hell as you could get. It was a year I wished away just to get back to my regular post. Teaching at tertiary lever is much better. Still not humans, as the closest semblance a student has to a human is the footprint he leaves,
You have time on your hands, this might be the opportunity to get back to education and study something which really interests you.
If you want to change something in your life which you don't like, get off your bum and do it. Moaning doesn't get you anywhere other than turning people away from you.
@wht,I did karate when I was young. To teach hand to hand combat here would not work. People would just not be interested.
@cat,I taught secondary close to five years and it was so hard. Now I am applying for the primary level and hope I can handle it....I can't teach Tertiary because I don't have a masters in the subject I want to teach in.I am training my mind to like teaching.
look online for a free course.
or start a home aerobics class, if you have your own house.
if you dont have your own house and kitchen, then maybe look after old people who need a carer. or be a nanny or au pair for children.
just advertise freelance.
ok, dont know if your come out with profit, but its an idea.
I have the same problem, well, its a huge hole Im in. been trying to get out for 5 years now, just cant.
they engineer you in a small town, like prison guards do to prisoners on Alcatraz.
everything you try or do, they stop you straight away.
There only 3 or so big business people here, and the a few shops.
And the minute you try do something, its a huge uproar etc.
and when you try be secretive, cause of it, then the cops are on your a.. so blimming quick.
its just huge gossip etc. so you get engineered in a way, that you believe that, its just the way it is, and you are breaking the law, or not allowed to do anything, and you must try apply for unemployment grant or something.
ye, police have and people with power have a way keeping it like that in small towns.
