Moth Balls and Related Issues
I never knew moths had balls. And judging by the size of it, I guess they must fly with their legs very wide open. I hope not too many were killed to obtain all those mothballs that went into the boxes.
So, here we are. All that now remains is to unhook the curtains, fold them up and pack them in the last boxes. But that I will do tomorrow morning when the container arrives. Most of my personal stuff left with my sister earlier on. Less to worry about tomorrow.
I would have liked to leave with them to sleep at my new pad tonight but it would be inviting trouble to leave everything packed and ready now that the dogs are gone. I will be sleeping in a sleeping bag on my couch tonight.
I have hired 4 men to carry everything into the container tomorrow. Three of my friends will help me to make sure no crates or boxes can disappear between the house and the container. This is so typical South African; four people to supervise four workers!
Al thanks to my sister and her daughter who helped me to pack everything while their husbands kept me company and helped me to make sure that I need to pack less booze. Very considerate of them too. The remainder – naturally – will go into my car’s boot when I leave; not in the container.
At 1 PM I took a drive to KFC to get us some lunch and when I returned she provided me with a full inventory of each box. I did not think it was possible to pack everything in two half days, but here we are; all packed. I will have to treat them on a steak when I’m settled. I owe them big time.
What would the world be without family and friends?
