Say the words

A simple word is so hard for us to say.
When we should be saying it every day.
Letting each other know how we feel.
I want you to know what I fear.
What if one day one of us slips away.
And it would be too late for me to tell you and say.
That I love you and the price (regret) I don't want to have to pay.
So I've come to the conclusion,
to not let another second pass me by.
And every time I get the chance I'll let you know that in my heart is where you lie.
And that I'll love you till the day I die
