What if..
You get in touch with a person that is very nice and you get along very well like you were friends the whole life. You know the other person heart and mind so you know has good feelings. Would you mind if when you meet eachother he or she is not so attractive or sexy like it was in your mind? Would that make you change your feelings?

For me it depends. If he is for a friend, good or best friend, he could be a blind or invalid but if he is for someone I will life in the same roof, sleeping on the same bed, his look would come after his hearth brain manner and education.
Whereas friendship is always welcome, especially with someone in the distance, No obligations, guilt, tragedies, expectations (e.g. When does a message come in?), no greater feelings. And one can even end it any time by still staying kind with each other.

It is said... take your time, get to know each other via an interactive program where you can see each other and talk on video.
Horses for courses, both have their merits, however in an LDR the more familiar you are with the person the more likely that person is to be the same when you meet.
