Like someone else posted there are more to do on this site then dating.
I do only date in RL, if you feel this way, why are you not going out and just do it?
As for you 'Selecting' someone,your not picking out a piece of meat for your dinner here.
As to no response, what would you expect, the person had viewed your profile and decided not to contact you, why mail them at all?
