Almost impossible for me to comment, Nam, my country only got TV in 1975 - one hour a day in English, one hour a day in Afrikaans, back then, all caught up now - so unless you post from the Brady Bunch or Star Trek, the old shows SABCTV bought at the time, I'm clueless.

dunno
Miss Ele

You Mean To Say There Was No Television"

"Until 1975?"

"Something Aint Making Sense Here".............detective
The government - who had been in power since I think 1946 - believed firmly that television was letting the Devil Himself into your living room. Finally in 1975 they relented, the excitement was palpable. My mother had been without television for about 25 years and even watched the Afrikaans half of the transmission, although she had never learned a word in all the years since she had moved to South Africa.

laugh
I remember having one of these:

Alcatraz was believed that no one could possibly escape so that believe was gone when three made an escape.
I was told that is why Alcatraz was closed..............wave
What amazes me is that having read about some of the worsed prisons in the world, one, for instance, is so
full that the prisoners can not all lay down, the food is awful etc...........
Yet knowing how horrible their prisons are, you would think that the criminal would think twice before ending up there
Yeah I know I am naive.............. wave
worst lol wave

There's perhaps a grain of truth there somewhere, nam, but I think Kevin Costner and Errol Flynn might have been stretching it a bit.
